Mission: Parenting!

What’s my mission as a parent? How has it changed since Keith died?

I have given this a lot of thought over the past six years…even moreso now as I am preparing to speak to you, my sisters, at the November aNew Season Widows Conference. I hope I get to share my story with you there in person. If you’d like to join us, find out more information or register here on our website.

What can I tell you from my own journey that may (Lord willing) help to make an aspect of parenting come into focus for you? What might help to give you strength for the tough days?

Bottom line, the answer is the grace of God. But I assume you know that.

What else can I offer?

Only my testimony, sisters, evidence of God working on a journey with me and my boys that leads us closer to Him.

Ultimately, for those of us who are single moms, isn’t that our goal? Raising Godly kids who put the Lord first in their lives,  can resist the temptations of this world and stand strong in the Lord? Raising kids who are not beaten down by the world, but instead, focus on their Father in Heaven and flourish in the light of His love?

For the moment, I am going to shut down my computer now and go spend some time with my sweet boys.

But, come November, I will be ready to share with you what the Lord has laid on my heart about this thing called parenting alone.

Please come and join us in Myrtle Beach!

In Christ
